Congolese artist Rafiya fuses flavors of the African Diaspora with R&B and Soul, to paint her uniquely universal musical tapestry that has earned her critical praise from media as diverse as The Washington Post, the Voice of America, and Afrobeats Radio. An electrifying performer, Rafiya sings in French, English and Lingala (a language from the Congo). She’s performed at major music festivals and events, ranging from SXSW in Austin, the Essence Festival in New Orleans and the Kora Awards in Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa. She’s also engaged audiences in venues such as Apollo and SOBs in New York, The Kennedy Center in DC, and Le Bataclan in Paris. A proud Congolese, Rafiya aims to uplift and to promote cultural pride through her music.
